2022.11.28-29. – Baby, it’s cold outside

Went below -30 degrees!

In the morning, I taught a class online (on Google Meet), then sent an email with a bunch of material for practice (Wednesday they’ll take a test), made a big batch of veggie cream coup, and then we went to the embassy to have a meeting about the pre-Christmas event in December. After the meeting, the intern came over to our apartment because she’d left her coat here yesterday, and we also invited her to stay for dinner and she did, so we had a nice chat (well, it was mostly my husband and me talking, even though we usually try to ask questions and let others speak, I think he is craving contact bc he doesn’t have anyone to talk to here, other than me, and I tend to overshare and talk excessively anyway if someone doesn’t stop me).

Also, it was below -30 today, for the first time since we came here, and for the first time in our lives we went outside in such cold weather (it was -31 when we went down in the evening). At home, it barely even goes down to -20. Here, it’ll be no more than -36 tonight, according to Google.

2022.11.29.

We slept until noon after a late night (I was up until 4am chatting with friends). Then I had a nice swim; it was really cold outside but the coat is keeping me warm (my eyelashes had frost on them though). I also did some shopping in Good Price after my swim and baked a banana bread in the evening (in a proper cake cast, because that’s the only thing I could find).
