2022.11.14-20. Just a regular week

This is kind of a normal (is there even such a thing as normal? well, at least it's not anything highly unusual) week for me.

Taught a class, did some laundry (had to go up to the old apartment for that, so I started the machine before my class and took the clothes out after class to dry). That also meant I could get the spices from the old apartment that I’d accidentally left there. Then I went back to Golomt bank to finally actually open my bank account (they took me to the VIP section bc they only had English-speaking staff there, which worked just fine for me). Before going home, I had a short swim (only half an hour as I was still not feeling up to a strenuous workout but wanting to get back into it carefully). Super tired after all this, I walked home, had dinner (a nice kale salad), and read quite a lot from my Spanish HP book.

Just some ponies chilling in front of the building where the bank is - in the city centre!

We slept in and had a nice videocall with my little brother for his bday. Then we went out for lunch (French fries at KFC, hubby also eating burgers), and got our clean – now dry – clothes from the old apartment. Then it was a whole afternoon and evening of not doing much. We looked at plane tickets, I ordered a book for myself and a present for my best friend’s bday (and Christmas), chatted with some friends and even mom (not something I do often).

In the morning, I was working on the curriculum for next semester’s elective class, then had Namaste takeout for lunch. In the afternoon, I taught a class (giving them sausage snacks to try!), and had an interview with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs online.

Went for a swim, can’t remember more.

My husband just ordered this for me from Emart - seems hard but fun

It has been snowing all day. I taught a class (we learned more about foods), and we went to Naran Tuul with a local guide and bought a bunch of stuff (souvenirs, winter coats, and bedsheets). Once we got home (tired and very cold and hungry), we went to Namaste – actually eating there for the first time – and took the intern girl with us. Their cinnamon tea it to die for.

Naran tuul in the snow - what a great day for buying beds!(?)

These look amazing and I can't wait to buy one (probably in the spring when we have a bit more money)

Some vendors did leave early due to the snow

Our yummy dinner in Namaste

These apple-cinnamon caramels are amazing
I don't even like caramels, but these are the best

I went to swim practice in the morning (which means half my day is spent going to the pool, being there, and coming home), then spent some time working, but mostly relaxing. We were tired and decided to try one of the food ordering apps – got Burger King (that is, fries for me).

2022.11.20. –

We spent most of the afternoon working on our laptops (after a very late morning) and I also made some lunch/dinner. Today I’ve read a whole chapter of HP1 in Spanish in the evening (okay, it was a super short chapter, but still).
